LOVE … because of it

  WELCOME, WINTERFEST TRAVELERS!

Here are two new images for my poetry and graphics series
Love, Because of It.

The Love, Because of It pages illustrate Vincent and Catherine’s more intimate time together, measured in a romantic (gauzy but not overly graphic) way, accompanied by a favored poem.

Another image in this series created for WFOL 2025 may be seen HERE.

And the entire project is HERE.

(Please note: some images in the series as a whole are more adult than others)

Thank you for visiting today!

HOME EARLY

Vincent, shirtless, looking as if he just came from a shower. Image is titles: Home Early
Catherine in a romantic gown, holding a long stemmed rose, with a very loving, anticipatory look on her face. Image titled: Home Early Too

FLIRTATION

by Rita Dove

After all, there’s no need
to say anything

at first. An orange, peeled
and quartered, flares

like a tulip on a wedgewood plate
Anything can happen.

Outside the sun
has rolled up her rugs

and night strewn salt
across the sky. My heart

is humming a tune
I haven’t heard in years!

Quiet’s cool flesh—
let’s sniff and eat it.

There are ways
to make of the moment

a topiary
so the pleasure’s in

walking through.
