LOVE … because of it

WELCOME, WINTERFEST TRAVELERS!

Thank you for visiting my fan site!

The image below is the newest entry in my poetry and graphics series
Love, Because of It. (You may have found this image in the Treasure
at the end of Thursday’s Hunt.)

The Love, Because of It pages illustrate Vincent and Catherine’s more intimate time together, measured in a romantic (gauzy but not overly graphic) way, accompanied by a favored poem.

More in that series can be found HERE.

I hope you enjoy this excerpt from the novel East of Eden, and find in it, as I did, Vincent’s perfect, glorious thoughts, words he might journal, but better yet, words he would whisper to Catherine.

Do come back after Winterfest! I’d love to see you here again.

Vincent and Catherine entwined before a blazing fire. Behind them a window - it's nighttime, the branches of bare trees are seen through the panes. The image title: Fireside in Connecticut.

FIRESIDE IN CONNECTICUT

EAST OF EDEN
an ecerpt

by John Steinbeck

A kind of light spread out from her. And everything changed color.
And the world opened out. And a day was good to awaken to.
And there were no limits to anything.
And the people of the world were good and handsome.
And I was not afraid any more.
